The Mondello Group charges clients a flat monthly fee, based on the difficulty and breadth of goals to be achieved and the intensity of the work necessary to reach those goals. In our business, hourly billing creates a reverse-incentive to solve a client’s problems efficiently while a monthly fee allows us to represent the client at all times. The duration of the contract depends on the nature of the client’s objectives. While some clients require ongoing issue-monitoring, reporting and frequent meetings with federal decision-makers, others come to us with goals limited to modifying a single proposed Rule or piece of legislation, or preparing for hearing testimony. Many municipal, healthcare, education and transportation clients seek funding for individual projects. Many of these situations are closed-end projects, so not every client needs permanent advocacy and monitoring. A client with limited goals should be able to avoid multi-year engagements with their D.C. consultants.

Whenever possible, we complete our clients’ objectives by the termination date of the contract, allowing for short-term engagements of three months, six months or one year. Clients with ongoing objectives are contracted on a yearly basis. During that engagement, clients are in direct contact with the Principals of the Mondello Group, LLC, not clerical or junior staff. Our clients have our complete attention 24/7/365.
