Client Testimonial

Having served as a top-level staff member for two U.S. Senators and a senior leader at both the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Lisette McSoud Mondello brings a unique combination of federal and congressional policy and public affairs experience to her clients.

With a broad range of contacts throughout the halls of Congress and the federal agencies, Lisette has effectively brought clients' priorities before government and congressional officials to help achieve their federal goals.

As a Senate-confirmed Assistant Secretary of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, she oversaw all external and internal communications for the second-largest federal Cabinet agency with Public Affairs officers throughout the VA health care system, chaired national veterans rehabilitation events and the official Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, and the Veterans Service Organizations advisory council. In her role as VA Assistant Secretary, Lisette also headed the agency's intergovernmental office, working closely with states, localities, and other federal agencies.

Lisette also served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Education, where she was responsible for the roll-out of the department's discretionary grants program and its Performance Review of each office within the agency.

In her time in the Senate, Lisette was a top advisor for two leading Senators, Al D'Amato of New York and Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas. Much of her work centered around their leadership roles as Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee (D'Amato) and Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee (Hutchison). Both Senators had also been members of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Drawing on decades of experience inside Congress and the federal government, Lisette develops targeted strategies that shape each client's message for maximum impact — positioning their priorities for the best possible outcome.

Lisette has been named to The Hill's Top Lobbyist List for four consecutive years — 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
